Chip's Challenge was a game designed by Microsoft, specifically Ed Halley and Tony Krueger, in 1992. It came with the entertainment pack for Windows 95, and as far as I know is only available from websites of dubious legality now.
The premise of the game is Chip is trying to get a date with the nerd of his dreams, Melinda. She makes him do the Challenge to proove himself. He encounters many monsters, traps and hazards and the player must navigate him through the maze of each level.
